Palin Honorably Justified To Resign, But Poor Message Delivery
So as it comes out more clearly in the days after her resignation, Sarah Palin did have an honorable reason for resigning as Governor of Alaska.
I retract my statements in my blog post days earlier, however criticize the delivery of the message.
I now understand that the distraction of the celebrity like media coverage as well as the partisan politics that have been playing a role in Governor Palin’s daily life has kept her from doing her job and “steeling” her away from the responsibilities of being a mother, wife, and Governor. She takes a very honorable position in stepping aside, removing Alaska from the spot light providing a better ability and enabling government in Alaska the opportunity to run more efficiently without the circus like media coverage that has engulfed the state for the past 10 months.
Governor Palin, please get yourself an articulate speech writer. We’ll back you, just help get the message out “More Clearly”.
Happy Forth of July/Independence Day
Happy 4th of July to all the people of the United States of America. Today is a celebration of our independent republic. Although many would argue that our independence and freedoms are becoming more restricted by the day, we are still so much more free than many others we share this world with.
Thank you to all of those that risked everything for the freedoms we take for granted everyday. Thank you for making it so transparent, by your efforts, that we can take it for granted.
Bottom line is that I am thankful for the freedoms that have been given me and will never forget those that die for it, live for it, fight for it, and stand by the foundational beliefs of those unalienable Rights that we have been given by our Father.
I hope that everyone in the USA has a moment throughout their celebration and remembers how it is we are able to celebrate so freely for whatever reason we want.
God Bless The USA,
Home of the free.
Sarah Palin's Rsignation Doesn't Help Her Resume
Sarah Palin’s resignation announcement as Governor of Alaska does not do anything for her resume. Hired by the people of Alaska, Sarah Palin has just informed her employers that she quits.
In any other job, this would be a negative reflection on a resume. How is it that because she has represented the morals, values, and principles of conservatives, that Sarah Palin gets viewed as being honorable and respectable for quitting. Quitting your job, as there are many respectable and honorable reasons that one may do this, is typically an initial reflection as “Being a quitter”, being someone that can’t “Up hold their end of the bargain”, or a reflection of the lack of commitment that one has. In fact these actions are a reflection of the mind set of so many, not all, liberals that I personally know or follow which is “If it feels good, do it.”
Being a conservative myself, I had a positive hope for Sarah Palin’s future in the conservative United States of America.
Unless I here of an honorable reason for her resignation that would explain rationally how her resignation is in the best interests of the people of Alaska first and then the people of this United States second, I will have to find another conservative that upholds the ideals, morals, values, and principles of Reagan to give my whole hearted support for. I can tell you that Jeb Bush is not that person with remarks like those reported on The Washington Times.
Update on Missing Bolingbrook Man and Wife Attack
Found some comments and conversation regarding this topic. See Topix.
Bolingbrook Man Missing, Any Connection To The Attack Of His Wife?
A Bolingbrook man went missing last week. As reported at chicagobreakingnews.com, the man went away on business and did not return.
“Stephen B. Flood, 46, of the 100 block of Tecumseh Drive, was reported missing Thursday evening by his wife after he failed to return to Bolingbrook in time for a son’s baseball game.
“Friends said it was really odd that he didn’t show up,” Bolingbrook Police spokesman Lt. Ken Teppel.”
The part not being reported is that allegedly, the wife had been attacked in her home last week. I do not have the details as to whether or not this happened the time that Stephen was away on business, but there are some obvious coincidences here.
Another question to be asked is why this attack was not reported. I had gotten the information through a Bolingbrook moms group who has connection to the woman.
Some questions to be asked;
1. Are there any connections between the disappearance and the attack
2. Why was the attack not reported?
3. Are there political aspects to the not reporting of the attack?
The biggest question now is, who will break the story, besides me?
Never Pay For A Whopper Again!
That’s right, never pay for a whopper sandwich again from Burger King. This is how it works:
- Purchase the most inexpensive item on the menu or anything that will provide you with a receipt
- Read the back of the receipt and notice that if you call in and take a short survey, the next time you come in and purchase a drink and a fry, you will receive a FREE Whopper.
- Take the survey, it usually is only about 3 questions long. (I have had some as long as 12 questions)
- Record the code at the end of the survey
- Take this in with the code and order the smallest drink on the menu and the smallest fry and request your free whopper.
- You will be required to pay for the small drink and fry, but this will prompt another receipt which will enable you to do this entire cycle all over again and again.
Enjoy your FREE Whoppers!!!
First – third party software for the iphone
I guess this is news worthy. I am not one that was so hyped about the iphone to begin with. What Wired is reporting, is continued advancement in technology for the end user. The real benefit will be gotten from other manufacturers that create similar and affordable solutions that compare to the iphone. The development of third party software will inspire more development of software for all of these smart phone devices. See the wired article for details. I found the report on frankgilroy’s tweet with a link to his blog.
