Never Pay For A Whopper Again!

That’s right, never pay for a whopper sandwich again from Burger King. This is how it works:

  • Purchase the most inexpensive item on the menu or anything that will provide you with a receipt
  • Read the back of the receipt and notice that if you call in and take a short survey, the next time you come in and purchase a drink and a fry, you will receive a FREE Whopper.
  • Take the survey, it usually is only about 3 questions long. (I have had some as long as 12 questions)
  • Record the code at the end of the survey
  • Take this in with the code and order the smallest drink on the menu and the smallest fry and request your free whopper.
  • You will be required to pay for the small drink and fry, but this will prompt another receipt which will enable you to do this entire cycle all over again and again.
  • Enjoy your FREE Whoppers!!!

2008 Presidential Election Goes to The Ellipsis "…"

November 4, 2008 Leave a comment

My anxiety is at its peek with the Presidential election hanging out there in time. Soon we will know some things about the character of this country, its citizens, our moral compass as a nation, our political and diplomatic position in the world, and the future for our country. No matter which candidate wins, Barack Obama or John McCain, something will be determined about many aspects of this nation. Outside of what each of us, the citizens of the United States think bicker back and forth with one another about, it is our world neighbors that will have the most honest incite to the position of our country. I urge all to be mindful of this and keep this in mind for the future years.

Regardless of how this ends up, this has certainly been an exciting campaign season (for the past two years wink, wink). Barack Obama, the first viable black candidate for President of the United States; John McCain, an elder of the Senate with years of experience on how the game is played, but with the integrity of few politicians to truly work towards the best for his country; Joe Biden, another vet of the Senate with extensive experience and consistency in his positions, even when they contradicted Barack Obama’s; and Sarah Palin the first real opportunity for a woman to hold an office of the executive level of our country with a proven record of reform as well as effort of avoiding partisan politics. May the best team for our country enter that white house, and if not so, it is our duty to continue to take action to hold our politicians and government accountable. They work for you and me.

First – third party software for the iphone

July 20, 2007 Leave a comment

I guess this is news worthy. I am not one that was so hyped about the iphone to begin with. What Wired is reporting, is continued advancement in technology for the end user. The real benefit will be gotten from other manufacturers that create similar and affordable solutions that compare to the iphone. The development of third party software will inspire more development of software for all of these smart phone devices. See the wired article for details. I found the report on frankgilroy’s tweet with a link to his blog.

Microsoft Surface is innovative regardless of what the anti-Microsoft users think.

July 20, 2007 Leave a comment

I first saw something about the Microsoft Surface on commandn.tv. They played a parody to the original popular mechanics video clip shown below. I see a lot of possibilities with this surface multi-touch interface. It resemble much of what the movie “Minority Report” had in it, when Tom Cruise was working on finding locations for crimes that would occur. Check out this video from popular mechanics pulled from youtube. Leave your comments on this new technology and what Microsoft is doing with it.

Power Stroke woes anger buyers, drive up warranty costs

By Richard Truett Automotive News / December 12, 2005

James and Penny Schrader have bought Fords faithfully for 30 years. But persistent problems with the Power Stroke diesel engine in their 2004 F-250 pickup have unraveled three decades of brand loyalty. The Schraders, both 63, put a second mortgage on their home in Linden, Mich., to buy the $45,000 truck. Now they say they’ll probably never buy another Ford. For the rest of the story see More
